Ned Forney

Ned is a life-long educator who spent nearly 30 years as a high school teacher, principal, and museum educator in the United States and around the world. He is a Citadel graduate (Class of 1985) and served for five years in the United States Marine Corps. He was the Director of Education at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum from 2003-2010 and then went overseas with his wife, Jodi, where together they were teachers and administrators for 12 years at international schools in Egypt, Dubai, China, and South Korea. 

Ned now works for the US Department of State in Charleston. Jodi, who was also a career educator and worked for the Charleston County School District, passed away in June 2025 after a five-year battle with cancer.
