Highlights from Fr. Bosco’s 2025 newsletter:
Major Milestones
- Inaugurated the Divine Mercy Missionary Family (DMMF), a new religious congregation dedicated to evangelization and running the school
- Bishop Peter Chukwu officially recognized KBMS as a Catholic school, blessed the new 14-unit staff residence, and dedicated the chapel
- School now has 132 students (added 56 this year) and launched 12th grade
- Received accreditation from WAEC and NECO as an official examination center
Student Exchange Program
- Four students applied for U.S. visas; one granted, three scheduled for reinterview January 2, 2026
- Approved students will visit Indiana early 2026
Critical Infrastructure Need
- 50/50 Raffle launched to address severe electricity crisis (purchase tickets starting January 1!)
- Current solar system failing due to 4-year-old batteries and increased demand
- Goal: Install two 30kva solar generators ($42,000) and replace 90 batteries ($20,000)
- School currently has power only until 8pm
Ways to Support
- Sponsor a Child: $5,200/year (full support) or $100/month (boarding only)
- Participate in the 50/50 Raffle
- Donate via website, Venmo (@Africanedu), or set up recurring donations
- Memorial naming opportunities available

- Grace Yakubu, younger sister of one of the DMMF sisters, is among students kidnapped from St. Mary’s Catholic School in northern Nigeria
