Celebrating our first graduating class and continued progress at Kassie Braun Memorial School
Celebrating Our First Graduates
- Kassie Braun Memorial School celebrated its first-ever graduating class, with all 12 seniors successfully passing their exams.
- Two students in the graduating class earned their high school diplomas after receiving full AEO scholarships for six years.
- The graduates will return to campus in September for a special celebration combined with the school’s inaugural Mass for the new academic year.
Stretching Every Dollar
- AEO volunteers have been sourcing high-quality surplus school and kitchen equipment from school districts, government surplus sales, and the local Air Force Base.
- Recent purchases include cafeteria tables, an industrial gas stove, trays, cups, plates, pots, and kitchen racks.
- By purchasing surplus items in the United States and shipping them to Nigeria, AEO can acquire needed supplies at a fraction of the cost of purchasing them locally.
- A shipping container is now being sourced to transport the supplies to the school.
Solar Power Progress
- AEO’s recent 50/50 raffle raised funds toward a new solar station for the school, with many winners generously donating their prize money back to the cause.
- The solar materials have already been purchased, with installation planned to begin in August.
New Kitchen and Cafeteria Underway
- Construction has officially begun on the school’s new kitchen and cafeteria.
- The building has already reached deck level, and the next step will be pouring the concrete decking as additional funds become available.
- Fr. JohnBosco will travel to Nigeria in August to see the project’s progress firsthand.
Thank You for Your Support
